Friends of the Norwich Museums
If you love Norwich, enjoy meeting new people and want to help protect the city’s heritage, Friends of the Norwich Museums (FNM) could be for you.
FNM is a lively organisation bringing together people who are passionate about Norwich’s past – and future.
Your contribution can make a real difference and when you join, you’ll enjoy these great benefits too:
• Free admission to Norwich Castle, Strangers' Hall, The Bridewell and the Royal Norfolk Regimental Museum
• A lively programme of talks and outings
• Use of the Benefactors' Room at Norwich Castle - a place to relax
• A bi-annual newsletter posted to your door
• Regular mailings from Norfolk Museums & Archaeology Service with all the latest news and events
• Opportunities to volunteer in the museums
• 10% discount on admission to NMAS sites across the county
• 10% discount in the cafés at Norwich Castle and Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse
Many of the wonderful treasures on display in the Norwich Museums have been purchased by the Friends, whose loyalty and commitment has also helped to secure major funding from national organisations like the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The Friends get involved in many aspects of museum life. They have created a garden at Strangers' Hall, provided facilities for disabled people and equipment for education, conservation and display.
