Responsible for: Curation of zoology and botany collections
Deals with enquiries about: Insects, birds and other animals, plants, preservation and care of museum specimens, natural history archives
Research interests: Taxonomy of shore flies; status of Norfolk insects; biography of Norfolk naturalists
Fancy that! : Tony has three species of fly named after him - A dance fly from Scotland called Heleodromia irwini, a South American dune fly called Pelomyia irwini, and a scuttle-fly called Megaselia tonyirwini.
