Events and Activities
There are a selection of tours and talks for groups designed for groups to spend time together and find out more about a particular aspect of the rich history on show at Norwich Castle. They last about 30-40 minutes, £2 per head, and are generally quite informal and tours move at the pace you want to go.
o In the House of the King (tour of the castle keep)
o Invasion! Vikings in Norwich (talk)
o Norwich Castle as Prison (tour)
o The Norwich School of Painters (gallery tour)
o Bears, birds and butterflies (natural history galleries tour)
o Temporary exhibition (talk)
There is a talk or tour for adults at 2.30pm every weekday during school terms. This is free (with museum admission) and there are up to 15 places available every day. For larger groups and those with a special interest please ring 01603 493636 if you would like to discuss a tailor-made tour or session for your group.
Norwich Castle has plenty to interest under 5s including explorer buckets, dressing up and chariot rides. Other facilities include baby changing areas, highchairs and children’s menus.
The Learning Department can offer a full programme for schools and under 5s groups.
