Norfolk Painters 2008: Norwich Castle Celebrates

Four shows over four months at Norwich Castle provided a great opportunity to see works on a grand scale by some of Norfolk's finest artists. Brüer Tidman, John Kiki and Susan Gunn exhibited solo shows alongside the Norwich Castle Open Art Show, which showcased the huge range of creative talent in Norfolk.

A series of entirely new paintings that celebrate Kiki's fascination with classical myth, magazine photography and much more.

Susan Gunn

Susan Gunn, 'Crimson/Ivory Stripes 2008'

22 November – 4 January 2009

Abstract paintings, inspired by ancient materials and techniques. Susan Gunn gained international recognition with the award of the Sovereign European Painting Prize 2006.

Norwich Castle Open Art Show

8 October 2008 – 23 November 2008

This open submission exhibition, comprised high quality work by artists living in, or inspired by, Norfolk. A distinguished panel of selectors carefully chose the works on display in this refreshing exhibition, which included a wide range of subject matter and styles.
