Norwich Castle: Gateway to Medieval England is a four year project that will transform the inside of the historic Castle Keep back to how it appeared when it was built under the great Norman kings.

Visitors will be able to…

    • Experience one of medieval Europe’s most elaborate castles restored to its former glory

    • Explore the recreated Royal palace of Henry I, with its exquisite Great Hall

    • Bring the Norman archaeology and architecture to life through colourful stories about the Castle’s history

    • See stunning panoramic views of medieval Norwich from the battlements

    • Discover national medieval treasures in the British Museum partnership gallery

    • Enjoy an exciting action-packed events and learning programme for all ages

The watercolour gallery is amazing, the colours are so fresh. For someone living in Manchester I did not realise what an extensive collection of pictures you have.
