    Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse is a truly unique museum. Visit its 50-acre site and discover:


    The museum is a great day out whether you want to learn about the lives of Norfolk people in the past or relax and have a good time with your friends and family. You’ll need a whole day to begin to discover all its wonders.

    Our top ten at Gressenhall

    1. The glorious museum courtyard, playground for swallows in the summer - perfect for watching the world go by.


    2. Dressing up as a Victorian and taking a snap to show the family.


    3. The Collections Gallery with its beehives, cricket shoes, fishing rods, hurdy gurdy, shop signs, toasters, toys and even a Turkish bath!


    4. Cart rides round the fairy-tale farm past hedgerows filled with flocks of sparrows.


    5. The punishment cell in the workhouse and its haunting story.


    6. Cherry tree cottage and its old-fashioned garden complete with privy and scarecrow.


    7. The riverside walk and its ever changing wildlife.


    8. Joining the crowds at Apple Day for a festive celebration of apples and all things autumnal.
