The Learning Team of the Norfolk Museum and Archaeology Service (NMAS) exists to support and encourage everyone to use museums and their collections for learning. We work in partnership with learners and other providers to inspire and educate.
We offer learning opportunities, both in our museums and in schools and other community venues. These activities range from object-handling, practical workshops and living history to special events, talks and tours.
With sites in King's Lynn, Thetford, Gressenhall, Norwich, Cromer and Great Yarmouth, we'll probably have a museum near you. Why not get in touch with your local NMAS site to find out how we can work together? Our contact details are on the right hand side of this page.

Take One at Norwich Castle
Take One is a new scheme at Norwich Castle for primary schools in the region, adapted from the highly successful countrywide Take One Picture programme run by the National Gallery. We focus on one painting from our collection each year to inspire cross-curricular work in the classroom. In 2010-11 we're looking at The Paston Treasure (see above links). For more information about the Take One programme and to arrange an introductory CPD session, please email: Anna Green or Colleen Cameron.
Leaflet
Download our new information leaflet for primary schools. The leaflet gives a brief round up of all the topics we cover in each of our museums across Norfolk.
