Stuart Philpot learnt traditional basketmaking techniques from his father Frank. Frank made many of the baskets in the Time & Tide Museum and was important in the basketmaking industry in Great Yarmouth. Basketmaking supported the fishing industry and has declined in recent years, but Stuart still uses the traditional craft and will be talking about the history of its use and showing a demonstration of some techniques.
