To celebrate the arrival of May The Toys Be With You, our new exhibition packed full of Star Wars memorabilia, visitors are invited to our brand-new family event. Explore the displays and enjoy Star Wars-themed crafts, plus take part in a fun family trail. Booking is recommended.

Visitors can create your own Pride badges, see our pop-up exhibition about Princess Catherine Duleep Singh and local LGBTQ+ history, create Pride patches and weave bracelets.

Learn how to make your own Star Wars-themed peg doll in a 1-hour workshop and take home your creation! Workshops are designed for children aged 8 and over. Available workshop slots: 10-11am 11.30am-12.30pm 1-2pm 3-4pm £5 per child, accompanying adults free. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Younger siblings are welcome to attend but cannot participate in the workshop.

Willow weaving expert Karen Bek is bringing her expertise to Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse with a two-day basket-making workshop. As well as working on their own willow skills, participants will have chance to connect with Gressenhall's collection of basketry-related objects from Norfolk's past - and will end the weekend with their own traditional round English basket to take home. All tools and materials supplied. Please be advised that refreshments are not provided; you are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch and the Mardlers' Rest Café will be open throughout the day. Basketry can be hard on the hands and does require some strength. Karen will be able to help you if your hands get tired and the two days enables plenty of short breaks. Bring a notebook and pen if you want to take notes. As this workshop is being run by an external partner, we are not able to offer our usual membership discounts.

Lynn Museum will be offering free admission for all visitors to celebrate Heritage Open Day on Sunday 14th September. A free trail will also be available to collect from reception, allowing families to explore the museum with a fun challenge and a small prize for all children. Booking is recommended to ensure admission.
