Writing with a Quill - a demonstration of things needed to send a letter in Tudor times with a chance to try writing with a quill. Presented by experienced historical interpreters, the Londons.

Winter Talk - WW1 Trench life, using cartoons and songs Nigel will discuss the everyday life and conditions of British soldiers in the trenches on the Western Front in 1914-18. Utilising cartoons, songs and photographs he will illustrate the way in which 'Tommy' humour enabled many to survive despite the horror. There will also be an opportunity to handle original artefacts and equipment.

Where the status of the Roman citizen was paramount and hygiene a necessity. Find out what influenced Roman clothing, by looking at their own words and art, and how they, in turn, influenced the fashions of societies to come through artefacts re-discovered over time.
