Pushchairs and prams

At the museum, all buildings and displays have level access, except for the school room which has a ramp.

There is a ramped entrance to the cafe and its courtyard garden.

There are gravelled paths and a courtyard around some of the workhouse buildings and a rough, sloped track to the farm.

Lift access

There is a lift in the workhouse building in the ‘Staff’ gallery on the ground floor which will take you to the second floor displays.

If you need assistance to use the lift, please talk to a member of staff.

Baby changing facilities

Baby changing facilities can be found in the Welcome Area, in the Mardlers’ Rest Cafe, in the Workhouse Galleries and on the Farm.

Adventure playground

Our fantastic adventure playground is a world of tree houses, walkways and slides suitable for all ages.

For younger visitors, there’s a special area designed for those under 5s. 

School holiday activities

Throughout the Norfolk school holidays, we host daily activities for children. Each holiday is themed, and you can expect crafts, games, and laughter for all!
