Collograph Printmaking with Amelia Bowman - Sold out

Monday 11 June 9am – 4.30pm

On this one-day workshop, popular Norfolk printmaker Amelia Bowman returns to teach her trademark ‘chine-colle’ printmaking technique.  Learn how to make a collograph plate and print from it, create line and texture by collaging mixed media and create a series of prints to take home.

All materials will be provided, participants will need to bring an apron.

Suitable for beginners, or as a follow up to Amelia’s 2017 course.

Family History with Helen Bainbridge

Wednesday 20 June 10am – 4pm

On this one-day course learn how to start researching your family tree.  Course tutor Helen Bainbridge will share tricks and sources to get started with your research.  You will be guided through free to use and commercial websites, learn some tricks and discover some new sources, share your family history and research with others.  Helen has over 30 years' genealogical experience and an extensive knowledge of Gressenhall records.

Suitable for beginners and those who have already begun their research.

Apple Tree Pruning with Bob Lever

Thursday 22 November 10am – 3.30pm

On this one-day workshop you will gain an introduction to the theory behind pruning apple trees, and the selection and correct use of pruning tools. The majority of the day will be spent in the Workhouse orchard, where you will gain practical experience at pruning mature apple trees.

This workshop will mostly take place outside, regardless of weather.

Bob Lever has been involved with orchard management for over 30 years and has been teaching orchard skills for over 20 years.

Participants will need to bring warm and waterproof clothing and suitable footwear for wearing in long grass, plus a pair of strong working gloves for your own use. All other tools and safety equipment will be provided. All refreshments including lunch will be provided.
