Make Yarmouth

Young person sketching by the side of the river

This group helps 11 to 16-year-olds to get creative and find out about museums and heritage at the same time. We set fun creative challenges and help members to gain an Arts Award certificate. You don't need any experience to join this super supportive and friendly group. Make new friends, learn about heritage, work with professional artists and explore our exciting museum collections. One day we'll meet at the museum again every week to explore, create and eat pizza!

About Make Yarmouth

Make Yarmouth has been successfully running since 2018. Over the years, the group has taken part in many creative activities and community-based projects inspired by the fascinating history of Great Yarmouth.

This has ranged from creating a 12-foot spider from recycled materials for a Halloween production at St George's Theatre to visiting the quayside and measuring boats (with our feet) before creating wooden model replicas. We have also been the first to test out other exciting museum projects - from video games to escape rooms!
