Investigate old toys and find out how they worked. Handle and play with original and replica toys and games. Make your own traditional toy to take home.

Savages was the King's Lynn company that made and sold merry-go-rounds and other rides to fairgrounds around the world. Follow the life story of a Savage’s Galloper horse from wood to ride. Find out about steam powered rides. Play fairground games and discover what’s special about the Lynn Mart.

Find out about Captain George Vancouver’s life from his birth and early years in Kings Lynn to his adventures mapping Canada. Pupils will meet costumed characters, handle real artefacts and try some of the food sailors had on long voyages.

Christmas Long Ago

Discover how the way we celebrate Christmas has changed over the centuries. Pupils will meet costumed characters and learning about Christmas traditions from Medieval, Georgian, Victorian and 20th century era. Pupils will get hands on with historical artefacts and create traditional crafts.
