KS2 Crime and Punishment

Maximum group size 60, £3.50 per pupil, 10am until 12pm, minimum fee £140
The event
The day consists of two activities led by museum staff:
- Meet a costumed character based on a real-life prisoner of the Castle and discover their story.
- Explore punishment objects of the past.
Aims and learning outcomes
- 'Inspire pupils' curiosity about the past...whilst equipping them to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments and develop perspective and judgement.' (History Programmes of Study 2014)
- To raise awareness of how we find out about the past.
- Engage children with museum objects as sources of inspiration, knowledge and exploration.
- Expand children's understanding of the changes in crime and punishment from the Anglo-Saxon period to the modern day.
