Preparing to visit
We offer a free welcome and induction session for activity leaders. For details call 01603 493636 or email our Norwich Bookings Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note: the Castle Keep, dungeons and battlements will be closed from late 2020 until at least 2021. There may be reduced access to some other areas or facilities. Group leaders are advised to check in advance of the visit for current information.
On the day
We have a short history of the Castle available in a number of languages.
Please note: the information in the guides may not be up-to-date due to the Keep redevelopment project. These will be revised when the Keep reopens.
PicnicsYour ticket allows you to come and go as often as you like. There are picnic tables just outside the Castle’s main entrance. Castle Gardens, just below the castle, offers grassy areas and has lots more picnic benches.
Our museum shop offers a range of postcards, gifts and souvenirs. Please encourage groups to ask staff questions or to ask for help.
