Opening times at Norwich Castle

Please note that the original medieval castle, dungeons and battlements are currently closed to the public. This is due to our major redevelopment project. Some other areas are also affected by the project. For more information visit the What's Open page.

Current opening times

Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4.30pm
Sundays, 1pm to 4.30pm

Bank holidays and seasonal opening

Norwich Castle will be open on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

We will be open on Monday Bank Holidays in May and August.

On Sunday 24 December (Christmas Eve) we will open from 10am to 2pm.

We will be closed on Monday 25 December (Christmas Day), Tuesday 26 December (Boxing Day) and Monday 1 January (New Year's Day).

Booking your tickets

Tickets are available on arrival and you can book your tickets in advance online (opens new window). We would recommend booking in advance during busier periods.
