Booking your tickets
It's best to book your tickets online. You will need to book at least a day in advance of your visit and choose a specific day and arrival time for your visit.
Unsold tickets will be available on the door at the museum but we recommend you book in advance, as you will not be allowed into the museum unless sufficient unsold tickets are available when you arrive.
You will need to choose a specific day and time for your visit.
The entry time on your ticket is not unique to you. Several ticket holders may have the same time slot and you might need to wait until the admissions area is clear before you can enter.
What to expect when you visit
Construction work has begun on the exciting Norwich Castle: Royal Palace Reborn project to transform the Castle’s Norman Keep. Combined with new health and safety measures to protect visitors and staff, this means some areas of the Castle site are not accessible. This includes the Keep itself and the café and shop. You can still enjoy many of our beautiful Art Galleries, Natural History Galleries, Decorative Arts gallery, Royal Norfolk Regimental collections and temporary exhibitions. A one-way system is in place to help guide visitors safely through the galleries which remain open.
