Colman Art Gallery
The Colman Art Gallery, displaying Norwich School landscape paintings, provides a special and distinctive surrounding for an event. It is the current venue for weddings at Norwich Castle.
A flexible gallery space, it can be set-up in a wide range of configurations and is suitable for presentations, seminars, lectures, meetings, receptions and other private and corporate events.
The Colman Art Gallery can be equipped with mobile data projection, audio visual and public address systems.
Bookings for weddings should be made via Celebrate in Norfolk. Available for events on Mondays or after hours.

- Seminar style: 60 guests
What’s included?
All evening venue hire includes the use of the Rotunda area, plus the support of our venue hire coordinator, front of house and operations staff, cleaners and porters.
We provide a cloakroom (not staffed), audio visual and public address equipment.

Daytime venue hire charges
Monday-Saturday and Sunday afternoon
- Half day rate 9am-12.30pm or 1.30-5pm £250
- Full day rate 9am-5pm £400
Venue hire charge applies to venue hire events using our own or approved caterers. We will consider requests to use external caterers who meet our operational requirements and high standards for an additional charge.
Additional services
Specialist equipment and furniture, dedicated A/V support, tour guides, museum experts and costumed characters can be arranged at an additional charge. Approved contractors are available to provide additional supplies and services for more complex events. Entertainment and music should be organised by the client in liaison with our venue hire coordinator.
