The Town Close Auditorium
The Town Close Auditorium is a stylish and refined lecture theatre with a combination of fixed and flexible seating. It is ideal for conferences, presentations and performances.
It has excellent data projection, audio visual equipment and public address facilities, adjustable lighting, and access to the internet.
Available for daytime and evening events Monday-Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

What's included?
All evening venue hire includes the use of the Rotunda area, plus the support of our venue hire coordinator, front of house and operations staff, cleaners and porters. We provide a cloakroom (not staffed), audio visual and public address equipment.

Daytime venue hire charges
Monday-Saturday and Sunday afternoon
- Half day rate 9am-12.30pm or 1.30-5pm £250
- Full day rate 9am-5pm £400
Evening hire charges
Monday-Saturday
- Early evening 6-8pm £1,100
- Full evening 6-10pm £1,600
- Per additional hour (full evening only until 12 midnight) £175

Venue hire charge applies to venue hire events using our own or approved caterers. We will consider requests to use external caterers who meet our operational requirements and high standards for an additional charge.
Additional services
Specialist equipment and furniture, dedicated A/V support, tour guides, museum experts and costumed characters can be arranged at an additional charge. Approved contractors are available to provide additional supplies and services for more complex events. Entertainment and music should be organised by the client in liaison with our venue hire coordinator.
