Exhibition - Inheritance: Norwich Castle Open Art Show

In 2017, a call for entries went out to artists living in East Anglia, attracting a record-breaking number of submissions.  The exhibition was selected by a panel of invited judges: Penelope Hughes-Stanton – Director of North House Gallery, Manningtree; Sandy Heslop – Professor of Visual Arts, University of East Anglia; Lloyd De Beer – The Ferguson Curator of Medieval Europe, The British Museum.

The result is a captivating range of work, including painting, sculpture, sound, textiles, film, printmaking and photography.  Works range from land and seascapes to abstract interpretations of the past.  Loving portraits sit alongside depictions of ancient pathways, churches and military installations.  All works for sale.

Inheritance is organised in collaboration with the East Anglia Art Fund.  In addition, both exhibition sponsors are awarding prizes, with Brown&Co giving a £1000 prize for excellence, and Gallery in the Lanes presenting a £500 prize to an emerging talent.
