Strangers’ Hall is a wonderful attraction for groups. Whether you have a specialist interest or you’re simply looking for an enjoyable, relaxing and inspiring day out together. Come and explore one of the most intriguing and atmospheric buildings in Norwich - home to the wealthy merchants and mayors who made medieval Norwich a great city.

There are many delights of this magnificent Tudor house. Marvel at the Tudor Great Hall and discover the network of rooms from the elegant Georgian Dining Room to the charming Toy Room. Don’t forget to visit the magnificent stone-vaulted Undercroft and the award winning 17th-century-style knot garden.

Our friendly team will ensure you have a great experience from booking to when you climb back onto the coach at the end of the day.

Your key contact is our Bookings Coordinator: norwichcastle.bookings@norfolk.gov.uk and 01603 493636.

Payment

You can pay on the day of the visit by cash, credit card or cheque made payable to ‘Norfolk County Council’. Group organisers should pay for all individuals in the group and liaise with reception staff on arrival.

Tickets are valid all day, so if you want to explore Norwich, you can pop in and out as many times as you want.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your booking, please give us 21 days’ notice in writing. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.

Travel and parking

There is no parking at the museum. Ask your coach driver to drop you off and pick you up outside the Strangers Tavern on Charing Cross. There’s a bus stop here where you can pull over, and it’s a very short walk along the road to the museum entrance. Find more information about coach parking on the Norwich City Council website.
