Herring day

Monday 21 October, 11am - 4pm

Celebrate the town's heritage; meet a fisher girls, discover our coastline’s marine biology with Suffolk Wildlife Trust, join in with sea shanties, have your face painted and make friendly fisher-folk to take home.  Activities supported by a BSL interpreter.

The Twilight Hour- Autism friendly open hour

Tuesday 22 October, 4.30 - 5.30pm

Enjoy the museum as a quiet environment with gallery projections and sound effects switched off. Ideal for people with autism or other sensory needs.

Free admission.

Interactive and descriptive tours

Wednesday 23 October, 11am, 1.30pm & 2.30pm (approx 45 mins)

 Explore the exhibitions and collections with museum highlight tours especially suitable for visually impaired visitors. 

Ahoy There! Family friendly autism day

Thursday 24 October, 11am - 4pm

Join us for day of family friendly crafts and activities inspired by our maritime collections. Designed for people with autism and special needs. 

Getting skin deep

Friday 25 October, 11am - 4pm

Uncover the history and stories behind tattoos and see some of the many different symbols, patterns and motifs of body art.  Have your face painted and create your own temporary tattoo design to wear.
