Weddings at The Tolhouse Gaol
The Tolhouse Gaol has had an eclectic history, being a former merchant’s house and later a courthouse and prison. Its walls have borne witness to riots and rebellions, heard the pleas of those accused of witchcraft, piracy and smuggling, and survived two bomb blasts during WW2. Today the building tells the story of crime and punishment in Great Yarmouth.
A truly unique wedding space
If you’re after somewhere truly unique for your wedding or civil partnership, the intimate space of the centuries old prison cells most certainly offers that!
The Tolhouse Gaol is conveniently located just minutes from Great Yarmouth’s historic South Quay, the perfect location for amazing photographs.
