Join us for a creative and collaborative workshop with Queer Norfolk exploring drag, print, and queer cultural history, inspired by artist David Shenton ahead of his major exhibition at Norwich Castle this summer. In this relaxed daytime session, you'll be invited to contribute to a large-scale wallpaper artwork featuring illustrated drag queens, which will go on display as part of the exhibition. The wallpaper design features four drag performers drawn from Shenton's work. While the final prints have been produced using high-quality digital processes, they originate from hand-drawn lino-cut designs, preserving the spirit and aesthetic of traditional printmaking. This workshop combines conversation, visual material, and hands-on making. Open to anyone interested in art, drag, and LGBTQ+ histories. No prior creative experience needed.
