Join local children's author Isabelle King to get inspired by the stories from the workhouse and the museum's objects that help to tell them - perfect for curious kids with their adults. Create a character with help from your special self-led trail, creative writing prompts and ideas, and crafting materials to help you bring them to life. A selection of Isabelle's books will also be available for purchase. Isabelle King writes children's books that bring local history to life with imagination and fun. Her creative storytelling events encourage children to make up their own stories inspired by museums. For younger readers, join Isabelle during our Barnyard Bash event on 5 August where we'll welcome her for Storytelling sessions, perfect for early years children and their grown-ups (included with admission)!
