Join the curator of Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, Rachel Kidd, as she highlights some of her favourite hidden gems on display throughout the museum - from Women's Land Army sketches, to neolithic harpoon heads and workhouse toys. After the tour, take the chance to get up close to some of our special objects as a selection of those usually kept in store are brought out for viewing.

Join us an hour before standard opening for a chance to explore our galleries at a more relaxed pace. We'll dim the lights and reduce video and audio where we can. There'll also be a comfy quiet space in case you need a few minutes out. Our friendly front of house team will be there to give you a warm welcome and support your visit. Quiet Hour may particularly suit visitors who are Neurodivergent and prefer a calmer, quieter sensory environment. Please note: At 1pm, our audio, video and lighting in the museum will return to standard levels. Visitors joining us for Quiet Hour are most welcome to stay and continue exploring the galleries if they wish. Norwich Castle Café will open at 1pm.

Celebrate Blossom Day with us - an annual festival of fruit trees, flowers and food. Join in with some blossom-themed craft activities, pop by and find out what writer Daisy Henwood is working on, and bring or buy a picnic to enjoy in the orchard. Borrow a Small Explorer Belt from Cherry Tree Cottage and see if you can spot any pollinators in the gardens. Take a turn on a tiny pedal tractor, and head down to the farm for tractor trailer rides and to visit our growing animals!
